The Christmas Makeup Look: Nude

There’s nothing like Christmas as an excuse to throw some more makeup on! There’s something about the festive period which makes me drag out all of my slap and try everything on in one go. Now, I know people traditionally go for a red lip, but in the spirit of #YourRules (the new Christmas campaign by House of Fraser) I thought I’d try more of an accessible nude-pink, as I know some people are a little afraid of a red!

Starting with my base, I always go heavy as Christmas festivities seem to last all day, don’t they? Estee Lauder Double Wear is my base of choice as they staying power is amazing, especially when mixed with Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow Primer. I then dotted on some Laura Mercier High Coverage Concealer to get rid of my blemishes and make my skin look waaay more flawless than it is. To create some cheekbones, I used the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow which is my favourite at the moment, along with the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Ecstasy to add some warmth and colour to my skin.

For my eyes, I went with my favourite palette of the moment which is Urban Decay Smoky Eyeshadow Palette and used a mixture of the first three shades across my lids and the dark matte brown in my crease. So simple – just blend everything together! I slicked on some Laura Geller Eye Calligraphy Eyeliner and two coats of Eyeko Black Magic Mascara (which is amazing!) to finish the look. Then, of course, I filled in my brows with the Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade which is my favourite brow product ever.

Aaand finally, my lipstick is the amazing Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick in Charmer which is the perfect pink-nude for me. It makes your lips look fuller and you feel instantly more put together with minimal effort!

So that’s my finished look – what do you like to wear at Christmas?
