High Street Makeup Heroes

It’s not very often I actually buy something from the ‘drugstore’. When I was younger, I remember everything being so cheap and accessible, but these days you can pay £12+ for a mascara and my brain ticks over to ‘why don’t you just pay a few quid more for something high end?’. Having said that, there’s a few high street products that I will repurchase again and again and would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat and, ladies and gents, these are them.

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer | If you suffer from dreaded dark circles, then this concealer will suit you perfectly! It contains three parts: a peachy toned corrector to lighten under your eyes, a skin tone concealer to blend everything in and a super fine powder to set everything. It has a creamy consistency and is easy to blend – the perfect kit!

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara | The most recent mascara in my collection and the first high street one I’ve bought in years. I actually adore this mascara – it makes my lashes very dark, separated, lengthened an thicker. Basically, it’s the perfect all-rounder and one I would definitely repurchase!

Topshop Everything | I adore Topshop’s make up line. Their lipsticks last for hours, their eyeliner pens are easy to use, their nail polishes are amongst my faves next to Essie and their eyeshadows are buttery soft. They’re definitely my most used high street brand and I urge you to try them!

Kiko Smart Lip Pencil | Need a new lip liner but don’t want to pay the earth for one? Get yourself down to Kiko. You can get their lip pencils for the grand total of £2.50 (or £1.20, as they currently are) which last all day, are creamy in texture and don’t drag when applied.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer | Possibly the most blogged about concealer ever made, but it’s one I’ve bought approximately 15 times because it just works. It’s quite thick, but does blend well and offers amazing coverage without being too cakey. For around £5, it’s a fantastic buy!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick | Finally, one of my favourite lipstick buys has been this lipstick range. I have two shades: Cherries in the Snow (pinky red) and Fire and Ice (orange red) and they’re truly lovely lipsticks – hydrating and comfortable to wear, pigmented and long lasting and not badly priced either!

What are your favourite high street beauty buys?
