Oh Benefit makeup, you do the best packaging ever. I love how you can instantly tell it’s a Benefit makeup product just by a quick glace. Anyway, today’s post is all about my current favourite Benefit makeup picks, including some newer releases and two older products that I’ve sparked a new love for. Let’s begin, shall we?

Starting with my base, The Porefessional Matte Rescue primer is such an amazing option if you want the quality of the normal Porefessional but with a matte finish. I love the original, as it has such a great smoothing quality to it and makes my skin look super blurred and perfected, so the matte version ticks all of the same boxes to be honest. Even with my super dry skin, it doesn’t make it look cakey or accentuate dry patches once I’ve applied makeup.

The Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation is one I wanted to try for ages but only just got round to adding it to my collection. I have the shade ‘Ivory’ which I believe is the palest one and it matches well, giving a light-medium (buildable) coverage when applied. It dries to a satin, natural finish with a sort of lit-from-within glow to it, which I love, and it doesn’t dry out my skin at all! Definitely one for those of you with drier skin.

A new release from Benefit is the Benefit Dew the Hoola Liquid Bronzer. I’m already a fan of the normal Hoola bronzer and have used it for years, so this liquid addition is a welcome one. It has a matte finish, it’s very easily blended and feels really lovely on the skin – sort of like velvet. I’ve been using it to add a bit of warmth to my face now that Spring is here, blending it in with the Benefit Hoola Bronzing and Contour Brush. First of all, love the packaging, but secondly, this big super-soft brush does a good job at blending any contour products in, as it’s a great shape to cover a large area (like the cheeks) but can work into finer spaces too.

Finally, celebrating it’s first birthday recently was the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. I’ll be honest, I wasn’t bowled over by it when it first came out, but I decided to give it another go and I actually rather like it. I find if I wipe off a bit of product and apply it, it looks a lot more natural and offers amazing length to lashes! I’d double coat it for a night out, but all in all, I’m glad I decided to re-test it!
