My Skin Essentials | The Ones I’d Repurchase

I’ve made a bit of a pact with myself to use up a lot of my skincare this year. After trialling this range for three weeks and seeing how well a paired down routine worked for my skin, I’m on a mission to get through my skincare collection and reduce it right down to the basics. I’m obviously going to have more than one of each product, being a beauty blogger and all, but I definitely want to cut it down to 1/4 of what I have now.

With this being said, I’ve been revisiting some old (and new) favourites and I thought I’d share which ones I would definitely repurchase if I had to in the future – though judging by how many bottles/tubes/tubs of things I have, that may take a while… Starting with cleansers and the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm is one I bought a while back and thought was ok (but I was deep into my Emma Hardie cleansing balm addiction by this point) but I’ve recently concluded that I actually adore it. You don’t need to use much, but it works amazingly as both a makeup remover and a cleanser, leaving you with super soft skin.

I’ve talked about Oskia so many times on this blog (see my full post of faves here) but the Oskia Renaissance Mask is such a gem in my collection. I’ve tried many exfoliating masks over the years, but there’s just something about this one that just works so much better than the rest. It has an odd consistency when applied, but after leaving it on for ten minutes your skin just glows. I’ve also been using the Oskia Restoration Oil religiously for the past few weeks and I am beyond obsessed. Again, I’ve used a lot of oils, but I do think this one comes out on top if you need hydration (but not to overload your skin) and for your skin to feel completely rejuvenated – it just looks so clear, smooth and taut in the morning.

Next are two newbies that I can’t get enough of. The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream has been a cult favourite forever, but I’ve only just discovered it myself. I prefer to use this as a nighttime moisturiser as it’s a bit heavier, but perfect for normal-dry skin. This is like a big drink for my skin and, when used with an oil, it makes my skin look like I’ve had 10hrs sleep which I totally appreciate. Aaand finally, we focus so much on the skin on our faces and not enough on our bodies, so I’ve been carrying on my daily moisturising (thanks Roaccutane for making me do that) and slathering myself in Jo Malone Oud and Bergamot Body Creme. Oud is one of my favourite base notes – I love her red rose and oud cologne – so before I even opened the tub I knew it was going to be perfect for me. It’s such a rich, warm and expensive smelling body creme and you feel about 10x more luxurious after applying it, plus it really works to keep your skin super soft and hydrated.

What skincare do you love at the moment, or would repurchase?
