today: designer influences and doughnuts

jumper: zara (here) / jeans: topshop (here) / bracelets: asos and ebay (here and here) / watch: MK (similar here) / bag: D&G / boots: chloe (similar here)

so, we’re all obsessed with zara right now, correct? that’s got to be some sort of mutual consensus as they’re throwing out some pretty lovely things at the moment. take this jumper for instance, you may love it or hate it but one thing you can’t deny is how much it looks like the mulberry one (click here). except, it only costs £19.99 instead of £350, which by any standards can be seen as a total and utter bargain.
there’s also a tshirt version, which i snapped up on a recent shopping/exchanging trip for a mere £15.99 and looks exactly like its designer rival (click here). i don’t know about you, but i’d much rather pay £134.01 less despite how much i absolutely adore mulberry as a brand. i can happily splash out on a bag or a lovely pair of boots, but clothes are so trend driven and subjective that i’d be completely mental to spend such high prices on something i know i wouldn’t be obsessed with in a years time. plus, i’m trying to channel my inner kate bosworth by stealing her lovely style on the cheap.
moving on from clothes to a much more important topic: doughnuts. yes i have been through the krispy kreme drive-thru and can confirm it is indeed as wondrous as first imagined.

these pictures were taken live in action, people, from a front row seat in my friends car. we were pathetically excited, no longer do we have to wait until one of our twice yearly manchester visits to acquire a box of deliciousness.
we actually did other things with our day too by the way, we didn’t spend our entire time at krispy kreme even though that sounds like an awesome idea. we also went to ikea! exclamation mark warranted because it’s one of my favourite places to go. found these lovely pots to put my makeup brushes in (see here) and this super cute wrapping paper (see here) for my nephews second birthday this sunday. a trip to frankie & benny’s was also on the cards, so i could get my pizza fix and sharon got a really good cajun burger. yeah, food plays a big part whenever we hang out, it’s becoming a problem. a tasty, tasty problem.
