BEAUTY: Current Skincare Favourites #1

Hello! I was taking a picture for Instagram of my favourite skincare products, but thought I’d make it into a blog post too as I’ve really been adoring these products recently. The majority are new additions, but a couple are rediscoveries in an attempt to use up more of my skincare collection (which is becoming ridiculous). So, if you’re in the market for some new skincare, keep reading…

Toner is something I use just when I can remember, which is probably quite terrible as according to Mrs Hirons (aka skincare god) you’re supposed to use an exfoliating toner followed by hydrating one so I’m totally failing at that. I even managed to get my hands on the famous Pixi Glow Tonic too… Anyway, when I do remember, I’ve been reaching for Elemis Soothing Apricot Toner, which leaves my skin refreshed and, as it says, soothed!

For moisturisers, I’ve been loving an old favourite in the form of Balance Me Moisture-Rich Face Cream. It’s hydrating enough to work for dry skin, but not heavy enough to break out combination skin (which I have). It’s amazing at keeping my skin plump and soft and I’ll definitely repurchase once it runs out! One of my favourite all time moisturisers from one of my favourite brands!

If you’ve been reading my blog a while, you’ll know my issue with eye creams. Dark circles have cursed me for years, so I’m constantly on the lookout for something to reduce them. Recently I’ve been testing out the new Nourish Revital-Eyes Kale Biomimetic Anti-Ageing Eye Cream (what a title!) and it’s a really wonderful product. It’s light on application, takes no time to sink in and leaves the eye area hydrated. While it hasn’t taken away my dark circles, given that I’ve only been testing it just over a week, it has made my eyes look more rested in the morning which is perfect for me!

As for treatments, the NUDE ProGenius Treatment Oil has been my favourite facial oil of the past week or so. It just works wonders at making your skin clearer and brighter, which is just what I want. Similarly with Origins High Potency Night-A-Mins, it really leaves skin feeling amazing the next day. I’ve been combining the two (more on that in another post) for the ultimate smoothing and hydrated look to my complexion.

Finally, I bought the Nuxe Reve de Miel in the pot and the stick form ages ago and, while I stuck to the pot one as a nighttime treatment, I forgot all about the stick. I’ve rediscovered it recently and forgot how amazing it is for really soothing chapped lips. It’s nowhere near as thick as the one in the pot, so is perfect for underneath lipstick and when you’re on the go,

So they’re all of the products I’ve been loving recently. I’ve been quite enjoying finding old products to use again, so I might do a ‘shop the stash’ style post soon!
