BEAUTY: Favourite Early Autumn Nail Shades

Oh Autumn, you are my favourite style season. This extends to my nail selection too, as much as I love the bright tones of S/S, I’ll always be a cool toned polish kinda girl. Give me a grey over a pastel any day! So, I’ve picked out a few early Autumn nail shades to ease you into the colder months ahead.

As said, greys are my favourite shades as they go with everything and look very chic (in my opinion). A light option is Topshop Tidal, which leans towards the blue side of things. Perfect for those who like the effect of white nails, but want something a bit less tippex-esque. A darker option would be Nails Inc Duke of Wellington Place, as it’s the perfect dark steel-grey. Not quite black, but great for those who don’t want to go right to the dark side just yet.

I picked out a few deep purple shades, as berry’s are some of my most worn in A/W. One of my favourite all time shades is Models Own Purple Grey, as it’s just such a gorgeous creamy purple shade and always looks flattering on the nails. If you wanted a slightly brighter shade, I’d opt for Essie Bahama Mama, which is one of their most popular shades. It’s such a rich, jewel toned colour and applies in two coats.

Finally, a shade which seems to stand firmly in the love or hate category in blog world, Barry M Gelly Polish in Lychee. I personally really like it, as it’s not too warm or brown toned and, to me, is a fantastic nude. Takes a little long to dry, as does all the gelly polishes, but I really like the high shine finish.

What shades are you loving for this time of year?
