Autumn and berry tones always seem to go so well together, so I thought I’d run through my favourite pink-nude-berry tones (which make a great ombre effect, don’t you think?) for those looking for their perfect shade.
Starting with the lightest, Topshop Ethereal (not online, but this is similar) is such a gorgeous pale pink shade. It’s so pretty on the nails, without looking too washed out or chalky, just the perfect slightly-off-white chic tone. It reminds me of Essie Fiji, so if you didn’t get your mitts on that, then Topshop may be the way to go.
Next is a shade I’ve mentioned before, but Essie Lady Like is one of my favourite tones. It’s a dusty rose mauve shade which just looks so smart on, as it’s not in your face in colour. It’s opaque in two coats and works as a great neutral when you don’t want a nude. Gorgeous.
Nails Inc Gel Polish in Porchester Square is such a blogged about shade, but for good reason. It’s a great polish to reach for when you just don’t know what to wear as it covers a lot of bases. It’s the perfect grey-lilac-beige and one I wear a lot, as the forumla is long lasting too!
Moving on to some proper berry tones, one of my all time favourites is Models Own Purple Grey as it is just that: the perfect blend of purple and grey. It just looks so nice on and one of the very few shades that I’ve worn back to back. I’ll be using this one a lot over this AW!
Finally, if you’re after a proper dark purple, then Nails Inc Saville Row is the way to go. It reminds me of Essie Bahama Mama, but a touch darker and does look chic on the nails. This rich dark plum a great alternative to black or navy for this season and it lasts so well too. I love Nails Inc polishes and this one is no exception!
What are you wearing on your nail this Autumn? Let me know!
