Last week I shared my top five Mac Paint Pots so I thought I’d continue the trend, crack out the cult classic from their collection and chat lipsticks. I recently cut my stash down and it’s left me with a selection of shades I really adore, varying from orange-reds to dark berry hues.
From left to right, one of my favourites has to be MAC Lipstick in Brave, which is such a lovely dusty-pink-nude. It was on my wishlist for such a long time so I’m glad it’s in my collection, as it’s the perfect throw on shade that doesn’t take a lot of thought. It’s really flattering on and I tend to always have it in my bag!
Next is the shade I wore non-stop last summer and it’s the beautiful orange-red Mac Lipstick in Lady Danger. It’s flattering and bold, yet not too in your face. The perfect shade when you need to brighten up your look.
Mac Lipstick in Red is next, as someone who wears red lipstick a lot it’s so nice to find the perfect one that suits your skintone. I really like MAC Red, as it’s a slightly pinky toned red so adds some warmth to your face, but remains to be a true cherry red shade.
My most worn shade of all time features next which is MAC Lipstick in Craving. It’s the perfect Autumn berry hue, but still looks perfect all year round. I can’t rave enough about how flattering and pretty it is on the lips! I already have a backup…
Finally, the traditional AW dark berry/purple shade that is MAC Lipstick in Diva. It comes off like a red-berry on the lips, as it has more of a burgundy undertone than a cool-toned purple which it sometimes looks in the tube. I love wearing this shade and can’t wait to wear it as soon as summer is over.
