BEAUTY: Soap and Glory Makeup

Soap and Glory is a brand I’ve always loved, as who can resist the amazing Breakfast Scrub (omg I wanna eat it), but their makeup isn’t something I’ve really delved into. I had the concealer from a little while back, but a few other bits had crossed over onto my wishlist and ended up in my possession, so let’s run through a few bits from the line.

Starting with the longer term product, the Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer is one I’ve used and loved for quite a while. It has three parts: a peachy toned corrector, a more skin coloured concealer and a powder to set it all. I like how this is in one handy kit (I broke mine, so sorry for not showing it open!). The concealer offers good coverage – I’d say medium and buildable – and the powder is finely milled so doesn’t look cakey too.

For eyes, I’m currently in love with the eyeliner and mascara above. I put them on as soon as they arrived in the post and I’ve used them every day since! The Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner Pen is a little thicker than my usual ones, but I actually really like that. It’s precise, very black and stays on all day without smudging! Now, the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara is a really great product. I already have long lashes, so look to thicken them as opposed to lengthen and this works a treat! It sets quite hard so it takes a bit to remove, but it’s a really great mascara!

I applied the Soap and Glory Brow Archery Eyebrow Pencil today and actually thought my brows looked really good so it must be doing something positive! It creates light, feathery strokes that are amazing for creating fullness without looking heavy. And – bonus – it’s actually cool enough for my eyebrows! A rare find so I’ll definitely repurchase!

Finally, I’m not one to use a powder that often as I use fairly matte/satin finish foundations, but with the warmer weather and walking to work, I’m noticing I’m a bit more shiny than I’d like to be! I highly rate the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blog Powder as it’s so fine and makes skin feel silky smooth. Seriously, try to stop yourself touching your own face after you’ve applied it! It does a bloomin’ good job of banishing unnecessary shine too.

Have you tried Soap and Glory makeup before? Let me know what you think!
