I do love a nice new box of goodies, don’t you? I was feeling especially sad the other weekend (one of those emotional days) and decided that the only thing that would put a smile back on my face would be to shop. Aaand shop I did… If only I could live in the Selfridges beauty hall…

So, there was a few bits I’ve wanted to try plus some new releases which had to make their way into my life. The first of those is the new Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, a full coverage beauty of a liquid base which has been slapped on my face since the parcel arrived. I’m doing a review of this in a future post, so keep your eyes peeled for that. It truly is magic though. See what I did there, eh EH? Speaking of bases, the Illamasqua Hydra Veil also came home with me. It was a toss up between this one and the new radiance one, but as my skin is quite dehydrated, I thought I’d opt for all of the moisture money can buy so went for this. Again, review coming up but I do love it!

I would like to have cheekbones of a super model, but alas, I am not graced with such structure so contouring is my saviour. I’ve always fancied a cream product for this so Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Hollow was my first choice for this. It’s got a wonderful consistency and blends like a dream, creating cheekbones to be proud of.

The absolutely stunning new Bobbi Brown Greige Eyeshadow Palette worked its way into my basket because look at it. I’m 100% a cool toned eyeshadow kinda gal, so it was a no brainer. There’s eight wonderfully pigmented and buttery soft shades to pick from in this portable palette, so it’s worth swatching and picking up next time you’re near a counter. I also picked up my third (fourth? fifth?) Bobbi Brown Corrector because I literally can’t live my life without it. Thank you for making me look like I’ve had 10hrs sleep when I haven’t, B.

Finally and, again, a post will be coming about these, but I picked up the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (x3) in shades Amsterdam (nude pink), San Paulo (a raspberry pink) and Antwerp (mid-tone pink) which are all utterly gorgeous! I’ve been wearing Amsterdam constantly over the past few days and I can’t see that stopping any time soon, it’s such a gorgeous formula!

Have you bought any nice new makeup recently?
