The 2016 Beauty Edit: Skincare and Haircare Favourites

I posted my makeup favourites so in today’s post, I’m going through the skincare and hair items that have got my through this year. For the first 5 months, I was on Roaccutane, but a lot of the products I used I still carried through to my normal routine for the rest of the year as they made such a difference to my skin!

Oskia Renaissance Mask
I use this little beauty twice per week to give my skin much needed radiance. As I don’t use a manual scrub, I find this mask to be the perfect solution to remove any dead skin cells and give my complexion a bit of a boost! I’d recommend it to anyone, as it’s the best brightening mask I’ve tried.

Aesop Damascan Rose Oil
This stuff saved my skin when I was on Roaccutane and I still continue to use it once a week or so to inject some moisture into my skin. It’s a ultra hydrating oil that smells wonderful and makes your skin look like it’s had a big drink by the morning. I honestly love it and you don’t need a lot of it either.

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator
My favourite moisturiser, again, when I was taking my acne medication and one I continued using until the tub above ran out. I’m tempted to repurchase it in the sales if I can because I love it so much! It’s light yet hydrating and I just adore using it.

Oskia Restoration Oil
If there’s one product you need from this list, it’s this oil. It’s practically the only thing I’ve been using day in day out for the past 4-5 months and nothing makes my skin look nicer than this! It leaves your complexion looking so bright, much firmer and super smooth. Honestly, I just love this stuff so much!

Olaplex
I was quite undecided on this when I first used it, as I felt like it just didn’t do much but I have since changed my mind completely. When I washed and roughly dried my hair, I felt very ‘meh’ about it as I didn’t notice a change, but when I styled it I realised how much difference it had made. My hair felt thicker, smoother and in much better condition. It was more swishy and stronger, so I’ll definitely continue to use this from now on!

MV Organics Rose Soothing Moisturiser
Another moisturising favourite. I use this on a daytime, especially in Winter, to protect my skin and give it the hydration it needs. It’s just a good all-round soothing moisturiser and one I’d recommend looking in to if your skin gets quite irritated!

Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm
Finally, I’ve used tubs and tubs of the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm but thought I’d use up the rest of this for the last few months as I’d completely forgotten how much I love it! It’s just such a gorgeous balm that melts away makeup and leave skin gloriously soft – total winner in my eyes!

What skincare and haircare have you been loving?
