What’s this, a photo of my face in a makeup post? I know, they’re pretty rare but I promise I’m going to try and do them more often! I had to show off my new favourite red lipstick, didn’t I? Yes, guys, I know I posted about NYX very recently but I’ve found a new red lipstick that I’m totally obsessed with. For some reason, despite Spring being firmly here, I can’t get enough of darker shades. Gimme a pretty dark raspberry or a plum shade or, in this case, the NYX Liquid Suede in Cherry Skies.
It’s a seriously gorgeous, dark red, not-too-vampy shade that you can slick on and go or build up for a more intense colour. It says it’s a ‘cream lipstick’ which I agree with in texture when you first apply it and the intensity of the pigmentation, but once it’s on, it does feel quite dry on the lips. Totally expected, of course, as mine are drier than most due to my tablets, but most people would find this totally fine to wear. I just slick some lip balm over the top and I’m good to go! As you can imagine, once it does dry down, the lasting power is pretty good but I would recommend a lip liner with this shade, as I would with all red lipsticks!
Overall, I’m really impressed with it and it’s going to be my go-to shade for this Spring I think! Have you tried any of the NYX Liquid Suede Lipsticks?
