Just A Few Charlotte Tilbury Loves...
My admiration of Charlotte Tilbury products has been documented throughout this blog over the years and they are still going strong as one of my most used and loved makeup brands pretty much ever. Having tried the vast majority of the collection, it's really hard to pick favourites as everything just seems to work. Practical and pretty, what's not to love?
I recently decided to add a few new bits (and repurchase one missing item) to my every day makeup bag, so that's what we're chatting about today.
If there's one thing I've stayed away from in recent years, it's powder. Keep your cakey finishes away from me, thank you. However, the CT powder is the opposite of your traditional dusty compact. It's silky, very finely milled and dreamy to apply. It helps your makeup stay put and your skin still maintains any radiance. It's just great.
I didn't get the hype around this product as I wasn't sure if it was a primer, a base, a highlighter... turns out it's all three. This stuff makes your skin glow like nothing else! I first used it underneath my foundation and it gave my complexion such radiance that I instantly said 'yup, I get the hype'. I've also tried this as a highlighter and it results in a diffused effect which is amazing, it's by far the best radiance primer I've tried.
This is an old'un, but every week or two I like to completely swap my makeup bag around and try old products again so I can use them up. I opted for this light coverage foundation last week and I totally forgot how nice it is! It's such a soft yet radiant finish, blends easily and stays on the skin for a long time too. It's very lightweight, so you can put it on for a full days work and not feel like you want to claw your skin off by the end of it (like I used to with Estee Lauder Double Wear!)
I can't believe I waited to long to get these cream eyeshadow pots - they're insane! As a long term lover of MAC Paint Pots, but currently without any in my collection so I thought I would give these a go after swatching them instore. They're soft, creamy, easy to apply and to buff in, yet when they're on your eyes they really do stay put. They're oh so pigmented, too.
This is a repurchase as I lost my previous one and will no doubt find it in a pocket or a bag as soon as I finish typing this post. Ain't that always the way? Bond Girl is a beautiful brown-toned burgundy red that's not too dark and not too light. It's a good every-season shade that I will be wearing a lot this year.
