It’s no secret that I adore cake. You’ll know from my baking posts and my tweets/snapchats that baking is my therapy, so you can hardly be surprised that I end up in the likes of the Great British Cupcakery on a semi-regular basis. I have wrote about this place before, but Amy, Chloe and I visited on Saturday as an early birthday treat (Amy’s) so I had to take some snaps while I was there.
I opted for a victoria sponge cupcake, topped with delicious frosting and fruit which was so good (as are all of their baked goods!) while the other two had huge slabs of cake. No lie about the huge, they’re about four layers deep! I tried a chai spiced tea for the first time ever and I have to admit, I am totally sold. It’s a cup of cinnamon, spicy goodness which I’m definitely going to adopt all Autumn long.
I’ll keep this short and sweet, but if you’re ever in Newcastle definitely give this place a visit as it’s so pretty and the cakes definitely live up to the hype!
