Hello! We’re in that awkward time of year when it feels like Winter’s over (we’ll ignore the weather, shall we?) but it’s too early to start thinking about Spring. But, as I feel like I’m officially ‘done’ with the deep berry tones etc of Winter, at least as far as my nails are concerned, I though I’d share the shades I’ve been loving at the moment.
I’ll always be a fan of cooler tones no matter what the time of year, so it’s natural that blues and purples have made their way in to the edit. First up is one of my favourite shades: Rimmel Sky High. It’s a gorgeous bright turquoise blue which always looks lovely on and the formula means it dries really quickly too. Next is Barry M Gelly Polish in Prickly Pear, which is a lovely lavender shade which is a lot brighter than your standard pastels.
Of course, I had to include the blogger favourite Models Own Utopia, as it really is such a pretty shade. It applies opaque in two coats and is a very pale lilac in tone. Next is a more spring-like shade by the name of Essie Mojito Madness (see on instagram here) which is a bright grass green shade and doesn’t stain your nails (hurray). Finally, a warmer tone and one of my favourites: Essie Watermelon (see on instagram here). It’s the perfect errr… watermelon tone and is very flattering!
So that’s all of my not quite Winter but not quite Spring shades that I’ve been wearing a lot on my nails. Models Own Utopia is always one of my go to shades when I don’t know what to wear, so it’s definitely worth picking up!
