FAVOURITE HAIRCARE | My hair isn’t exactly my main priority when it comes to looking after my appearance. Despite it being so long and quite a big part of ‘me’, most of the time I just can’t be bothered with it. I always opt for products that give me the results I want but with minimum effort, perfect for every lazy girl.
Having quite oily hair (I touch it a lot) means that I have to pick a really cleansing, but not stripping, shampoo. Two of my favourites have to be LUSH BIG Shampoo, which uses sea salt to cleanse and add volume to hair and Apivita Propoline Shampoo for Oily Hair, which is a great every day shampoo. I tend to use the LUSH one a few times a week just to cleanse my hair thoroughly and remove any product build up.
I use a mixture of the Redken Extreme Anti-Snap Leave In Treatment and Milk_Shake Leave In Conditioner, just to help with tangles and prevent split ends. I should have probably included my favourite hair conditioning treatment which is John Frieda Full Repair Deep Conditioner, but completely forgot to photograph it!
Finally, my favourite spray has got to be the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finishing Spray, which does work wonders for texture and volume. It’s so darn expensive and I get through it so fast that I try to use it sparsely incase I run out. The Tresemme Texture Spray is a great alternative and a quarter of the price though!
FAVOURITE BODY PRODUCTS | Body washes and shower gels haven’t really wowed me this year and no obsessions have been formed around anything other than the two above products.
If I’m in a hurry, I’ll always spray on No 7 Pampering Dry Oil Body Spray, as it smells lovely, sinks in fast and leaves skin hydrated enough to feel like you’ve actually used something. I strongly dislike those that virtually disappear and you don’t feel anymore hydrated than before (I’m looking at you Vaseline Spray and Go). If I’ve got a bit more time, or am having a shower/bath before bed, I’ll coat myself in Vaseline Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel, which isn’t for those of you who hate the feeling of products on your skin. This stuff takes a while to sink in, but leaves your skin hydrated for days. And I mean silky soft, smooth to the touch hydrated. It’s amazing!
