BEAUTY: Favourite Nail Shades #2

Hello! If you follow my Instagram, you’ll be well aware how much I paint my nails. It’s my ‘thing’ and I feel horrible when there’s not a lovely shade staring back at me from the ends of my fingers. So, as I’m not really a fan of Spring’s generic sickly sweet pastels (apart from mint and lilac, they’re exceptions), I’ll share all of the light and bright shades that have been adorning my nails.

First are the bright shades I’ve picked a lovely blue by the name of OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook, which reminds me of the sea and looks so flattering on. Spring to me means fresh green grass and flowers, so next is the the lovely Topshop Gone Fishing. It’s the less intense version of Essie Mojito Madness I think and is one of my favourites.

Onto my version of pastels, I picked up two Models Own HyperGel polishes in their 50% of sale. They’re a really good formula and wear well with minimal chips after a few days, despite me working in retail aka destroyer of all nails. I bought the bright white by the name of White Light and a neutral called Naked Glow, which are both gorgeous shades!

Now, I couldn’t talk about nails without mentioning Essie. One of my most worn shades recently is Essie Lilacism (seen below), as it’s the perfect creamy finish, soft lilac and always applies smoothly. Next is a lovely sage green/grey called Essie Maximilian Strasse Her. I love grey shades, so this one with a hint of green is right up my street. It’s sort of pastel without being too light and is one of my go-to shades when I don’t know what to wear.

So they’re all the sort-of-pastels-but-not-really shades that I’ve been loving at the moment. I think they work well all year round, to be honest, but I’ve officially moved on from ‘Winter’ shades and can’t wait for all the new Spring releases to come out so I can add to my collection…

My skincare giveaway ends tonight! Make sure you’ve entered as there’s £150 worth up for grabs.
