Hello! Following on from my previous post, Five Masks for Blemish Prone Skin, I thought I’d share some of the masks I use when my skin is looking a little bit dull and lifeless. As well as overnight treatments, I do swear by brightening masks so try and use them a couple of times a week.
Under £20 | First up is a mask by one of my all time favourite skincare brands, the Balance Me Radiance Face Mask. It has quite a scrub-like texture when applied and is quite thick, but once you’ve left it on for five minutes and removed it with a cloth, it leaves skin with such a lovely glow and radiance to it. Next is the Merumaya Skin Brightening Exfoliating Peel, which applies like a gel and is quite light on the skin. This is one of my favourites for how clear it leaves your complexion and it only takes a few minutes to work.
Over £20 | For some reason, brightening masks always seem to come up more expensive and the majority have fallen into the over £20 category. One that’s only just over the border is the wonderul Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask, which is a great all rounder in my collection. The manuka honey in it is antibacterial, which is great for blemish prone skin, and is also moisturising so you’ve covering two skin issues in one application. But the thing I like most is how clear it leaves my skin, it’s just such a great mask! Definitely one to pick up if you need a great multi-tasker.
Next is a much blogged product and one of my favourites, the REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. It smells a bit like marmalade and is rather thick in texture, but it really does make your skin glow. I always notice a difference right through til the next day! Finally, another cult beauty blogger product is the NUDE Miracle Mask. This quick fix masks works in under five minutes to get rid of dead skin cells and does genuinely make a huge difference to the skin! So good as a speedy treatment before a night out or an important event.
So they’re all the brightening masks I love having in my collection! It’s worth picking one up if you can, as they really do make a big difference to the clarity of your skin – perfect for this weird not quite Spring but sort of is weather!
Any masks you use to brighten skin? Any recommendations, especially drugstore ones?
Make sure you’ve entered my £150 skincare giveaway! It ends this weekend :)
