BEAUTY: The Makeup and Skincare Haul #5

A haul? Yes, a haul. I feel like my blog has lacked big hauls and new purchases, apart from the odd few bits here and there, for quite a while now. Well, since I quit my job (as you can imagine!). But, I’ve been saving up over the past few months and ticking a few things off my wishlist until I had enough for a ‘proper’ beauty haul post. It’ll probably be massively underwhelming for you, but it’s quite an achievement for me. It always feels so nice to get things you’ve wanted for ages, doesn’t it? Even if that’s just in a materialistic sense.

Rambling aside, I picked up a mixture of skincare, nail things and makeup. I’ll start with the former and talk about a few purchases that were firmly on my lust-list due to the price. I won a Zelens moisturiser in their twitter giveaway and I was so impressed with it that I decided to get some more. Feel Unique had an offer on where you got 25% off, so I picked up the Zelens 3t Complex and the Zelens Triple-Action Advanced Eye Cream, which I’ve used for the past ten days and am head over heels for.

Next is my first Aesop mask purchase and I went for the Aesop Chamomile Anti-Blemish Masque. I love products that calm down and restore skin, so this was a bit of a no-brainer. Finally, after reading many rave reviews, the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads found their way into my basket. I love the idea of them, as they’re quick and easy to use, so hopefully I’ll make them a regular thing in my routine.

For makeup, I got my mitts on the cult Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade (in shade blonde) as they added some more ashy tones to the line. Fingers crossed it’s not got any red tones, as the staying power of a swatch is pretty impressive. I couldn’t not include NARS (they’ve my favourite for a reason!) and I picked up two bits, the NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Lohdi, which is a beautiful bright coral, and the NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Iraklion, as I couldn’t get the cool toned metallic out of my head!

Finally, a few nail purchases. I’ve been determined to get a good base and topcoat for a while, so went for the CND Stickey Base Coat and the Sally Hanson Insta-Dri Top Coat in the hopes that they extend and smooth out polish. Oh and the colour is a shade my bestie bought me for my birthday which is Estee Lauder Pure Colour Nail Lacquer in Envious, which is the most amazing blood-orange-red shade (see it on my insta). Cheers mate!

What have you been getting recently? Any beauty bits? Oh, don’t forget to enter my Dahlia trench giveaway too!
