Hello! As I don’t reserve skincare treats to a specific day of the weekend, a ‘mid-week’ pamper is often on the cards, as I judge what my skin needs on the day.
Recently I’ve been starting with the Una Brennan Super Facialist Cleansing Oil to remove all makeup and really cleanse my face. It’s wonderful oil that feels lovely when massaged onto the skin, as it gives it more of a treat than a basic everyday cleanser. I love using any kind of facial oil, so this is no exception as they work wonders on the skin.
Afterwards, I apply a clay-based mask and my current favourite one is a recent purchase by the name of Kiehl’s Rare Earth Pore Cleansing Mask. First of all, the tub is huge and you only need a small amount to cover your whole face, which means it’s going to last you such a long time (therefore making it a bargain). Secondly, it’s just such a pleasant mask to use. It really cleanses deep into the pores, leaving your skin looking fresher and more refined – so glad I eventually picked it up!
Although the above mask really isn’t drying at all, I always follow a clay mask with a hydrating one. Recently I’ve been going for the Una Brennan Super Facialist Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask, which feels like a mix of a cream and a gel when applied to the face. It (sort of) dries down and, once washed off, does feel like it’s given your skin a moisture boost. Great for when it’s feeling a bit lacklustre and dull!
Once all of the cleansing and masks have been applied, I’ll go in with treatments. Starting with my eye cream, which is Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye (quite a luxurious feeling eye cream that hydrates the eye area well), I’ll apply a treatment (either serum or oil, or sometimes both) and the one I’ve been going for is Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer. Another blogger inspired purchase, but one that’s definitely worked out for my skin. It’s quite a lightweight serum but puts a lot of hydration back into the skin and generally just sorts everything out – like a miracle worker in a bottle.
Finally (although you can only see the lid!) I apply my evening moisturiser, which is the Balance Me Intensive Wrinkle Repair Cream. I know, a 23-year-old doesn’t need wrinkle cream, but it just works as a marvellous intensive moisturiser and makes your skin look radiant in the morning!
Anything you like to use to treat your skin on pamper night?
