BEAUTY: Nail Favourites #6

I’m pretty sure I’ve done nail posts with very similar shades before, but hey, I’m drawn to these cool tones and dusty pinks. I’ve been wearing some of these nail polishes on a loop recently, so I’ll give you the lowdown on each…

Starting at the top of the swatches, Nails Inc Duke of Wellington Place (seen on here) is one of my favourite not-quite-black-but-almost shades as it’s the perfect moody grey. Opaque in two coats and dries quickly, it’s a great one to go for if you don’t want to full commit to black!

Next is one of my favourites, the perfectly dusty pink mauve shade that is Essie Lady Like (seen on here). If you’re not a fan of bright or sickly pinks, then this one is a good one to pick up next time you’re in Boots! It always glides on evenly (two coats should to do) and I find it to stay chip free for quite a while. I love the creamy finish of this one too!

Models Own Purple Grey has been in my top 10 for such a long time now, as the perfect purple without being too vampy. I find this to be, as the label suggests, the perfect mix of purple with grey undertones and only takes two thin coats for a smooth, glossy finish.

If you prefer more neutral shades or stick to the lighter side of things, Topshop Nail Polish in Ethereal (similar, seen on here) might tick that box for you. I find it quite similar to Essie Fiji in tone, but it’s definitely not too sugary. One to pick up for Spring when the lighter tones make their way round the shops.

Finally, a polish I’ve featured on here many times, Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Grey Matter (seen on here) has been on and off my nails for months now, maybe even a year. It’s the most perfect mid-tone grey, which looks really chic yet adds something a little extra to an outfit (I think!). The formula means it dries quickly too, so you can slick it on and go in less than 10minutes.
