It’s no secret that I adore NARS (and wrote a whole brand focus post on them here), but I thought I’d sit down and put together a little starter kit for those wanting to get into the brand.
Base | If there’s one product I think is a great start from the brand, it’s definitely the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. Raved about by many, it’s a fantastic medium coverage foundation with a satin finish. It comes in a whole host of shades too, so there’s something for everyone. I find it doesn’t cling to dry patches and doesn’t make skin oily, so it’s a great all rounder.
Blush | NARS are very well known for their blushes and rightly so. Aside from the more errr famously named ones, there’s actually some brilliant shades in their collection. My Favourite NARS Blush is Douceur, but apparently that’s been discontinued (sobs), so other breautiful shades have to be Outlaw (a bright pink), Luster (a soft peach) and Amour (a mid-tone raspberry). The NARS Laguna Bronzer is also fantastic!
Eyes | I have a few NARS eye palettes now and I really rate them. They work out great value for money, too, as the shades are always well thought out so you end up using the majority of each palette. Above is the NARS And God Created The Woman Palette, but I also adore the NARSissit Palette and the newest NARS Dual Intensity Palette too.
Lips | My favourite part of the NARS collection has to be their lip products. The NARS Satin Lip Pencils are my most loved makeup line of all time, specifically Majella (my favourite red), Biscayne Part (the best nude ever), Luxembourg (an amazing hot pink) and Palais Royale (a beautiful dark berry). More recently, I’ve become addicted to the NARS Audacious Lipsticks, specifically Charlotte (my all time favourite berry shade), Vera (the best pink) and Rita (a dark-ish red). Both formulas have amazing lasting power and colour pay off!
Powder | I have a whole bunch of powders, but the NARS Light Reflecting Loose Powder is the one I keep coming back to. It’s such a nice finish and never looks cakey plus the tub lasts literally forever. It’s a fantastic product!
