BEAUTY: Skincare Favourites #6

I’ve been trying really hard with my skin recently, as I’m positively sick of always having blemishes. Sure, my skin is 10x better than it used to be, but I’m never without a spot or the remains of a few that have scarred. Basically: my skin never, ever looks totally ‘clear’. I’ve practically cut out sugar (bar a small spoonful of nutella in my porridge, too good to quit) and I’m eating better but skincare is always the icing on the cake to me. So, I’ll run through a few favourites that, while they might not be the most spot fighting team out there, they’re sure making me feel better!

I’ve become a bit obsessed with the Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist recently, mostly due to the scent as it’s divine. Me and spray toners have a bit of a patchy relationship, where I’m the neglectful party and the other gets left in the drawer abandoned. But, I’m putting in the effort to use it twice a day recently and my skin feels a lot more hydrated when I do. It seems to work well after acid toning, so I’m gonna stick with it!

Speaking of hydration, I also love the Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute (or a 24hr soothing and rehydrating mask, to you and me) for it’s errr, soothing and moisturising properties. This was actually part of the latest Look Fantastic beauty box and and really refreshes skin. One to look out for!

For eyes we have two products. If I want a straight up, does-the-job eye cream, then I’ll use HealGel Eye. I’ve really been liking the HealGel range recently and using them religiously, and this eye cream hydrates the eye area and is perfect for under makeup too! Next is a new release from Benefit which is the Benefit Puff Off Instant Eye Gel, which aims to ‘iron out’ puffiness underneath the eyes. I quite like the novelty tip, as it’s really soothing and, although my eyes don’t get super puffy, they do feel dry/tight so this helps them feel much better! This release is out later this month, so keep an eye out!

Finally, the cold weather has been ruining my lips so I’ve whipped the Korres Lip Butter out again. Not only does it give a peachy sheen, it also really helps dry or cracked lips and restores them to their soft selves. I’ve got two tubs of this stuff and I wouldn’t be without!
