Hello! A while ago, during my weekly browse of Fragrance Direct (aka the best website for bargains), I noticed that the New In section had a whole load of Becca. As it’s a brand typically found in Space NK, I added pretty much everything I could get my mitts on into my shopping basket. I’d bought of of their primers before and use it at least once a week, so I’m already a fan of their products. Anyway, I was putting my makeup on the other day and decided to use quite a few of my Becca purchases so I thought I’d share the dewy look I created!
Starting with my base, I apply a thin layer of Becca Radiance Primer (cheaper here) with my fingers all over my face. This gives the skin such a boost and makes it have natural glow, without feeling like it’s clogging your pores. After that, I dot NARS Sheer Glow around my face and really buff it in with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush, which works well to really work the foundation in, creating a smooth but natural looking base.
To conceal any imperfections (hello dark circles), I always apply my dream team which is Bobbi Brown Corrector in Extra Light Bisque and Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. The corrector works to brighten the undereye area and the concealer really blends everything in and adds an extra layer of camouflage.
On my cheeks I always use a touch of NARS Laguna to give my cheekbones some depth then I dot on a touch of Becca Beach Tint in Strawberry, which is a bright red. This stuff is amazing when buffed out and so easy to work with! You can use your fingers or the Real Techniques Stippling Brush to work it in, but it leaves such a gorgeous flush of colour and lasts all day.
For my eyes, I used two Becca Eye Tints in Vicuna and Gilt which, whilst they aren’t the easiest products to work with given that they’re quite fluid, they do leave a lovely wash of colour on the lids. I did build mine up slightly by applying a touch of eyeshadow just in the crease, but if you’re a one colour shadow kinda girl, the Becca Eye Tints may just be for you. I finished off my eyes with a slick of eyeliner and a coat of L’oreal False Lash Telescopic Mascara, which gives a great natural look.
Finally, I applied a bit of MAC Speed Dial Lipstick, which is one of my favourite more girly toned lip products and great for a low maintenance look. Then I dusted Hourglass Ambient Light Powder in Dim Light all over my face to complete my dewy makeup, as I love the blurred effect it has on skin.
So, that’s my makeup look that I’ve been going for a lot recently. Even though the weather is miserable, I think I’m craving the more dewy look of spring/summer rather than a matte, heavy winter image. If you can get your hands on some Becca Cosmetics, then definitely do! Their primers and beach tints are so worth it.
