BEAUTY: Today’s Makeup #2

Hello! This post was supposed to have an actual picture of my face attached, buuut I’ve somehow deleted it so you’ll have to forgive me. Today’s makeup is quite a minimal neutral brown and pink kind of look, focusing more on the cheeks for a (cliche) pop of colour.

With my base I’ve been using the Clinique Superprimer Colour Corrects Dullness Primer pretty much every day since I bought it. It really does work to give your skin a boost, especially under a more matte foundation like Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. I think the two work well together and make for a natural finish.

For cheeks I’ve been loving Lily Lolo Mineral Blush in Oh La La, which is a bright matte pink shade. I’ve actually never used a loose powder style blush before, but have been really impressed with the finish. You only need a tiny amount to do both cheeks, so this little pot will last for ages!

For eyes, I’ve just been applying a simple sweep of Urban Decay Barlust from their Smoked Palette across the lids. It’s pigmented (and pretty) enough to work as a single shade without the need for a crease colour I think. I then wing out some Topshop Magic Liner and apply a few coats of L’oreal False Lash Telescopic to give my lashes some length and thickness.

On my lips, either alone or over another lip colour, I’ve been using Lily Lolo Natural Lip Gloss in English Rose. It’s a dusty rose shade and it quite flattering on the lips! It doesn’t have that horrible sticky lipgloss feel either, so your hair won’t get stuck to it when you’re outside – bonus!

So they’re all of the products that have been in my makeup bag and on my face recently. I’d really recommend Lily Lolo if you haven’t tried them before, as their prices are reasonable and the products are really great!
