BEAUTY: Today’s Makeup #6

I’m just gonna put it out there and say that I’m a nude makeup convert. Obviously I’ll still throw on lashings of eyeliner, but as far as soft eye makeup and a nude lip go – you can count me in. The blame rests entirely on NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Biscayne Park aka the only light/nude shade I’ve ever liked, as it’s the perfect peachy/pinky/dream of a lip colour. So much love for it as it’s so perfecting and makes me feel all 60’s, which is never a bad thing.

I tried to tie my makeup into this soft theme by really buffing in a small amount of Estee Lauder Double Wear, as nothing makes my skin look so flawless. I dotted some concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes, then grabbed a fluffy brush and swept on some MAC Cream Blush in Posey, which is the nicest natural flush pink shade, especially when really worked into the skin. For my eyes I kept it simple by applying MAC Paint Pot in Painterly (my go to eyeshadow base) and used the light gold shades from the Stila In The Light Palette all over the lid, finishing with a quick flick of Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner.

This is such a quick look, but one I’ve been opting for most days to give my skin a bit more of a soft yet refined kind of feel. Plus, it’s all done in five minutes so is perfect if you’re like me and love your bed on a morning a bit too much… What look have you been wearing recently?
