CHRISTMAS: Last-Minute Christmas Gift Guide

It’s that time of year again: the desperate scramble to get all your presents purchased and wrapped before the clock strikes Christmas day. Whether you’ve been procrastinating or have simply run out of ideas, use this list as a cheat sheet to get the last of your shopping done.

Think Cosy
One of my favourite ways to celebrate the holidays is by snuggling up near a nice fire with a cup of something delicious. A great, affordable present for anyone is a ‘cosy care package.’ Pick out a festive mug like this one from House of Fraser and fill it with hot chocolate packets or tea sachets, whatever you think your recipient would like! You can even include a pair of Christmas socks to amp up the cosy factor. Dress it up with a nice ribbon and voila: instant holiday cheer!

Ready, Set, Relax
Another fantastic little gift set is a pamper kit, as everyone could use some R&R. Pick out a few face masks – I like the ones by Montagne Jeunesse, as they are so inexpensive that you can grab a bunch of different ones to try. Include a small tube of nice hand lotion – and some moisture gloves if you’re feeling extra generous – and a yummy-smelling Yankee Candle.

Easy Listening
If you are able to spend a bit more, then a subscription service is a unique option. If your friend is a music-lover who needs their tunes on the go and without annoying ads, then Spotify Premium is the way to go. You can even make them a playlist, and the both of you can add to it in the future.
If your friend is an avid reader, then a membership to Audible – the online audiobook library – is perfect. Listening to a story is an ideal way to make a long, boring commute fly by in no time.

Go Mobile
Everyone has some kind of mobile device these days, be it smartphone or tablet. An easy and practical present if you’re pressed for time is a wooden case – very on-trend and gender-neutral. Throw in some touch-screen gloves – which you can pick up for as little as £1 – for hassle-free scrolling when out and about in the cold.

Make Memories
Disposable cameras have been making a comeback, and are the ideal novelty present. Urban Outfitters have a few options – complete with fun stickers that show up when you get the film developed! Take it to your New Year’s Eve party and make some fantastic, creative memories.
