collection: my essie nail polishes

hello! i bought a few new essie polishes recently (11 to be exact, but i got quite a good deal with them) so i thought i’d share my collection. essie are a fairly new brand to me, as i wasn’t really bothered about them before i got into blog world but i’m glad they’re now in my nail polish drawer! their new spring collection is beautiful, so no doubt i’ll add some more in the future. anyways, on with the swatches…

left to right: essie lilacism, lady like, a crewed interest, neo whimsical, ballet slippers
i’ve been obsessed with lilac shades for a while, so when i saw the name of the first shade i had to order it! i haven’t tried neo whimsical yet but i might do my nail that colour next.

left to right: bikini so teeny, mint candy apple, bangle jangle, haute as hello, turquoise and caicos, to buy or not to buy
i put a picture up of my nails in turquoise and caicos on instagram, but it didn’t appear as bright as it is in real life. i adore all of the above shades as i’m all above the pale purples, blues and greens at the moment.

left to right: essie orange its obvious, watermelon, pretty edgy, mesmerize, aperitif, tour de finance
i’ve been looking for a strong blue shade for a while, so the one above was a pretty sure choice (even though i really wanted butler please, but i’m totally fine to compromise). i can’t wait to use watermelon as i’ve been in love with it since i saw kate from ghostparties wearing it forever ago.

left to right: essie raspberry, bahama mama, power clutch, chubby cheeks and carry on
some of these were my most loved autumn shades, but i will definitely be carrying them on into spring as i don’t really limit nail colours to a season! i think raspberry is my favourite out of the bunch, it’s the most perfect shade.

left to right: essie beam up nail brightener, essie good as gold, essie blue rhapsody, essie penny talk, essie nothing else metals
i’m aware that the first polish is technically clear, but i’m showing you my collection so i guess it had to be included. and of course i had to add in my metallic shades, they’re so beautiful! i love wearing them with neutral outfits, especially white and mint (silver looks beautiful with both but i only have a topshop silver polish)

so, that’s my essie polishes! they’re possibly my favourite nail brand next to models own, rimmel and barry m (which you can’t go wrong with for the price).

what’s your favourite essie shade? or do you have one you’d recommend?

ps. jess from velvet daisy has some amaaazing outfits, go check them out!
