Lipsticks are a bit of a thing of mine, I’ve come to realise. I recently posted my MAC Lipstick Collection and they’re the thing I always want to talk about more than anything else on this little blog here. So, I hope you all like them as much as I do, because here’s another little round up of the five shades I am beyond obsessed with right now.
Left to right, we have the NYX Lip Lingerie Lipstick in Bedtime Flirt which I waited for ages to get, as it was always out of stock at the stands! It’s a very pretty slightly dusty, nude-pink hue which dries down to a matte finish. I’m can wear this with a lot of balm right now, but I’m excited to make it a permanent attachment once I’m finished my tablets. So perfect! Next is from a new NARS range which has been bought out this Summer, the NARS Lip Cover in Get Dirty is the most perfect dusty-rose with a hint of terracotta (on me, anyway) which warms it up a bit. I love the finish on this, as it doesn’t dry down matte but looks oh so pretty on – I really want all of the colours now!
Next is another NYX product in the form of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in Rome, which happily sits with the rest of my collection. I hadn’t really paid this colour much attention in the past, but I recently saw this swatched and decided the mauve-rose shade had to be mine! I love the formula of these and will recommend them to anyone who will listen to be honest. Second last is one of my Summer favourites, Bobbi Brown Rich Colour Lipstick in Watermelon which is the prettiest orange-red tone – it’s oh so beautiful and everyone needs to own it I think! It really brightens up a makeup look or outfit.
Finally, we have another NARS offering which is the NARS Audacious Lipstick in Anita – another pretty nude-pink but I love the depth this shade has. It definitely leans more towards the blue side of the tones, but it’s incredibly flattering and perfecting on pale skin! I’ll be doing a full post on my NARS Audacious lipsticks soon I think, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
So they’re my favourite shades for the moment – what are yours?
