A combination of being on Roaccutane (aka all the skincare pls) and working from home has meant putting on makeup these days can be quite a chore sometimes. I mean, I do still enjoy makeup of course, but I want it done as quick as humanly possible to minimise the irritation on my skin underneath. So, as you can imagine, I’ve become quite the pro at the five product face and, as I do love a good rose tone, these are my top picks for a quick less-than-10-minutes look.
I’ve falling totally back in love with the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser as it makes my skin look oh so perfect now that it’s clear! It offers a light-medium coverage (or you can layer it up if you like) and gives skin such an amazing glow – very fresh and healthy for Spring and one I will definitely be wearing non-stop! On my cheeks, I’ve been addicted to H&M Beauty Blush in Rosy Brown which, as you can imagine, is the perfect dusty pink kinda shade which gives a great natural looking flush. It’s so pigmented and last ages on the skin too, not bad for £6.99!
On my eyes, I really love just using one colour blended out to give some detail and definition, but without spending ages blending colours together. For this the MAC Paint Pots are fantastic, I especially love the shade Vintage Selection which is a pretty pinky-nude hue and they literally don’t budge once applied. I can’t go without mascara (hooded lid problems) so I’ve been using the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara quite a lot since I bought it at the start of this year. It gives a lot of volume to my lashes and makes them super black, which is always what I want!
Finally, I slick on a bit of Tom Ford Lipstick in Indian Rose – aka the prettiest rose shade in the land – and I’m done! Simple, quick and easy makeup. I’d probably add in some contour powder but shhh don’t tell anyone.
What do you use for a 5 product face?
