That’s it, a whole year in outfits. Well, not technically a whole year as at, the start of 2014, I still used to take photos in my room and it wasn’t until Spring that I actually ventured outside. Feels like I’ve been getting stared at for posing in the street for a lifetime already though, and I hope it continues (and hugely improves) in 2015.
I wasn’t going to do one of these posts, but I really enjoyed seeing everyone else’s so I thought why not! Plus, it’s nice to reflect on your own style throughout the year. I honestly don’t think it’s changed that much since the beginning, apart from wearing a teeny bit more colour in summer. My style has been very black and white focused, with occasional splashes of bright shades with a lot of denim. I feel a lot more comfortable in my wardrobe now than I did at the start of the year, which is good, although I’ve pretty much eliminated colour (goth4lyf) in terms of clothes, and tend to stick to accessories for it. I’m happy with the way my style is progressing though. Some may say it’s boring and plain, but I’m really into having staple, quality pieces in my wardrobe instead of throw-away fast-fashion which I’d get sick of in six months time.
So, in 2015, I aim to add more luxe accessories (wishlist coming soon!), replace some of the bits I already have with nicer fabrics and really cut down my wardrobe to reflect the style I like. I’m hoping my style will be more tailored, minimal yet put together, focusing on the fit and cut too. I’m quite excited!
