Despite writing this on a rather gloomy looking day in Newcastle, I am firmly in Summer beauty mode! Since going to Italy, I've adopted a fairly low-key makeup look to give my skin a bit of a break and to focus more on my eyes, cheekbones and lips rather than my foundation. So, I've taken inspiration from suppliers to the professionals, Ellisons and their Experts In Beauty eBook to show you some of my faves for a glowy, bronzed makeup look...
For cheekbones and to add a bit of shape to my face I've been obsessed with using the Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick. It's the perfect shade for me and so easy to apply, just stripe some in the hollows of you cheeks, quickly blend and you're good to go! If I want to add a bit more depth or colour, I've been using the NARS Liquid Laguna Bronzer a lot. You honestly can't go wrong with their bronzers and the liquid version of the cult classic is so easy to buff into skin!
On my eyes, I've just been sweeping over some of the Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita Eyeshadow Palette as it has the perfect bronze tones to compliment the sun-kissed look that has just been created above. I love using either the lightest shade all over the lid or the more orange toned shade by itself for an easy, quick makeup look. To finish, I just curl my lashes and apply some Soap & Glory Thick and Fast Mascara which is one of my all time favourite high street options. If you want separated, long but denser looking lashes then this bad boy is for you.
To finish, and if I want a more bold lip look, I'll go for MAC Lipstick in Lady Danger which is the ultimate Summer colour to me. I either wear this straight from the tube or dotted and blended in for a bright, but more toned down look. Finally, if it's a particularly hot day, I'll use the Rimmel Insta Fix and Go Setting Spray just to keep my makeup in place!
