As you may or may not know, I’ve started Roaccutane so am expecting my skin to go from its usual combination-oily self to being drier than the Sahara desert over the next few weeks. I decided to get ahead of the game and prep myself for this change by picking up some ultra hydrating skincare to keep the dry skin at bay!
Clinique is brand I’ve been using in some shape or form for years, but less so on the skincare side of things as the 3-step system totally didn’t agree with my skin in the past. I’ve opted for the Clinique Moisture Surge Range this time, however, and I’m quite enjoying using it so far. I picked to the Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask and the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator to keep my skin in check overnight. The texture of the latter is so beautiful and lush! I also got the Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream, as my current one is amazing but I need the hydrating skincare boost that this one gives.
I’d been without my beloved Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm for about a month or so now and I genuinely missed it, how silly is that? It’s so amazing though, hydrating, soothing, plumping and smells divine too. With this order I also went for the L’Occitane Ultra Rich Lip Balm as you honestly can’t get enough of them when you’re on Roacc apparently!
As Escentual had 25% off, I picked up the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum as I realised I didn’t have any hydrating serums in my collection and I sure do need a hydrating skincare boost. I also got the Vichy Aqualia Lip Balm which has become a firm favourite as it works so well!
Finally, I got the Eucerin Aquaphor Soothing Skin Balm which is basically like hardcore Vaseline, but 10x better and actually has a function. It protects, repairs and heals skin so will be idea for any super dry patches I might get off these pills.
Have you bought any new skincare recently? Love any hydrating skincare?
