The New Base Combo

I feel like I haven’t shopped at Charlotte Tilbury for a while, but I was cutting through Fenwick the other day and a few pieces caught my eye as I went past. I’ve been on the hunt for a new concealer, as I love the Urban Decay one but it’s much too dry under my eyes so I was looking for one that was much more hydrating and creamy. I love the Bobbi Brown one and the Estee Lauder Double Wear, but fancied something different so C Tilbs came to the rescue.

I decided to pick up the Charlotte Tilbury The Retoucher Concealer as I’d heard a few good things about it and it seems like the easy option to opt for. It comes in a YSL Touche Eclat style pen which you twist to deposit the product onto the brush, then I dot it underneath my eyes to cover my dark circles. I does a fairly good job at this (noting that my dark circles lean heavily towards the ‘dark’) and seems to blend very nicely so you can build it up and pat it in without dragging the product around your face. It’s quite brightening too, so I do think I quite like it!

When I was at the counter, I also opted for the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation as I’d been after a light base for a while. The majority of my foundations are medium to full coverage, as that’s all I bought when I had very blemish-prone skin, so I don’t have any bases that are light enough to just throw on without much effort. This foundation is light on the skin, so easily blended and quite radiant on the skin so I’m really enjoying using it!

What foundation or concealer are you using at the moment?
