The Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Lipsticks: One of the most anticipated, Instagrammed and blogged collections I’ve seen in a while, but I think the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani collection is well worth the wait. I adore Gwen, from her grunge No Doubt phase to her obsession with Japan, she’s reinvented herself but always stayed true to her style which is something I admire about her a lot. So, when it was announced she was doing a makeup collection I knew it would be good – and it’s exactly how I imagined it to be, too.
I’ve already talked about her eyeshadow palette here and here which I still think is utterly beautiful. It has a great range of colours and the quality (and design) of it is fantastic, definitely one to consider picking up! However, today I’m gonna chat about the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Lipsticks which, aside from a blush palette, an eyebrow kit and lip pencils, are the last part of the UD x Gwen collection.
I received three Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Lipsticks: 714, Firebird and Rock Steady – all in the signature white and gold boxes with black and gold casing. 714 is a classic pillarbox red hue, the one you would say is a ‘staple’ in a collection and one I will no doubt be reaching for when I want a good, solid red. Firebird is a vibrant magenta shade with a blue undertone, a definite statement lip and perfect for Summer. Then there’s Rock Steady which is a deeper true-red shade and my favourite of the three, as it has a richness to it which I really adore plus it looks fantastic with an all black outfit!
Each lipstick is pigmented, creamy in texture and non-drying and lasts a good few hours before needing a slight top up. What else do you expect from Urban Decay, ey? If you’re in the market for some new makeup and want some pretty packaging to boot, then definitely have a glance over the UD x Gwen Stefani collection!
