Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m rather partial to a good bright lip. Whether it’s a bold fuchsia, a classic red or a tangerine hue, there’s something about slicking on a vibrant shade that makes me feel like a better person for the day. The power of makeup, ey? In an effort to shake off the more Wintery tones in my lipstick collection, I had a rake through to find three of my favourite bright shades to ooh and aah over in today’s post.
Starting with the top of the swatches, NARS Audacious Lipstick in Grace is one of my all time favourites for the warmer months. Described as a bright pink coral (though it’s definitely more on the pink side), this lipstick looks amazing with a tan and the formula means it stays put all day. The pigmentation on the NARS Audacious lipsticks are phenomenal too so are well worth picking up!
I am partial to a good bright pink, I think it’s ever since I bought MAC Girl About Town when I was about 16, but I’ve found new level vibrancy in the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Catfight. It’s a true, bright blue-fuchsia tone which is insanely rich in colour and it’s so comfortable to wear too due to it’s creamy consistency. Well done, UD.
Finally, the shade I actually wanted to include was Bobbi Brown Watermelon but I couldn’t find it, so decided to opt for Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Colour Lipstick in Guava. It is, as you can imagine, a pretty yet vibrant coral tone which just looks so beautiful on. I love this range of lipsticks from Bobbi Brown, as they’re both pigmented and long lasting.
What’s your favourite bright tone?
