Now, the 70s isn’t something I’d usually go for. I adore the decade, but as a black and white (occasionally branching out into grey and navy) kinda gal, the earthy and boho tones of the 70s isn’t usually my thang. However, I thought I’d branch out of my comfort zone for this outfit and I’m glad I did!
As much as I adore the fringe and flares part of the decade, I went for the more khaki side of things with this playsuit. Ignoring how utterly pale my legs are, this playsuit is definitely a new favourite! For starters: pockets (obv the most important) and the fit of it is really flattering, as it’s not too tight.
I decided to wear it with a (borrowed – thanks Amy!) denim jacket, as it makes a good combo, then paired it with some earthy coloured boots as they fit right in with the colour palette. The bag is a staple, as you can’t do the 70s without some fringe, similarly with oversized sunglasses!
New Look have created a Fashion Timeline with trends and styles with decades from the 60s to the 90s. They’ll be adding my look, as well as lots of other blogger looks soon, so keep an eye on it! I love the concept and seeing how people represent a decade in their own way, so it’ll be great to see when it’s all live!
Make sure you enter my USA beauty giveaway to win a Lorac Pro palette and more! Ends this weekend.
