hello! asian food is something that doesn’t appear all too often in my diet (sadly), but when it does good lord it makes me happy. one of my closest friends had a birthday recently, so two other friends and i trooped off to fat buddha in newcastle for a session of basically pigging out. it was all very delicious, people. i only wish i had an ounce of talent or vague cooking skills to be able to make it at home.
sorry you can’t see much of my oh so interesting outfit, the photos were snapped in literally 10 seconds as we were running late and were scared they’d give our table away. can i just take a second to express how happy i am to be cracking out the old winter coats again? literally ecstatic.
anyways, here’s some photos of some freakin’ delicious food…
i had a lychee martini (right) and my friend had a raspberry and mint mocktail (as she doesn’t drink, boo)
for starters i had chilli and salt squid and it was actually delicious. my friends had both the prawns and the spare rib version of the dish, which were also all amazing.
for my main course, i got a red thai curry with coconut rice, mmm. i also opted for chilli crispy tofu, which was genuinely delicious. i adore tofu. wish i could eat it every day.
my friend sharon had sweet and sour chicken.
bre (from breezey bee) had prawns, i think, in a spicy peanut satay sauce with garlic diced potatoes.
jina had nasi goreng which is rice with king prawns with chicken in satay sauce. it was so good! even though they sent it out with pork when she asked for it without, but they sorted it out pretty quickly!
yum, right? i could eat it all
right now. every single bit. and on that glorious note, i have nothing else constructive to say as i’m too hungry to think.
