TODAY: The Basics plus a Terry De Havilland Event

coat: Zara | jumper: H&M | jeans: Lee Denim* |  boots: Acne (high st alternative) | bag: Michael Kors | sunglasses: Saint Laurent* (similar)

Behold, the frizziest hair in all of the land. This is what happens when it’s mildly damp in the air, my hair goes from nicely tousled to crazy (just around the mid-section though, the hell?) in about 10 seconds. Le sigh. Anyway, I called this ‘the basics’ as it is just that. I was thinking today about my dressing process, and the words ‘minimal effort’ came to mind. Now, I don’t mean that in a I-think-I’m-effortlessly-chic kinda way, I mean that I just wear outfits that are easy to throw on. Typically: An oversized coat, a jumper and a pair of jeans. Oh and don’t forget sunglasses, I’m quite partial to my new Saint Laurent ones. Super simple. Dressed in five seconds. Ideal.

From easy outfits to something a bit more extravagant, let’s discuss the wonderful Terry De Havilland. He has a small boutique store in Newcastle and I popped along the other night for a little browse of the shoes. They’re dreamy you guys, from 70’s inspired platforms, to chic heels and the best statement boots. Infact, I fell completely head over heels (pun not intended) for those black and snake print boots, if anyone wants to get me them I’m a UK7, just so ya’ll know. It was such a lovely event and I ate far too many canapes (the caramelised onion and cheese ones, oh mah lawd), so thanks to Sandra for organising it! If you’re in the Newcastle area, or near a TDH store, definitely pop in as the shoes are well worth a drool over.
