today: default colours and lilac

ignore the strange angle, my tripod was tilted!
coat (here), shoes (here) and skirt (similar here and here): topshop / bag: D&G / tights: M&S or something equally as boring / belt: primark (similar here) / watch: MK (here) / bracelets: ASOS (here, here and here)

this is an extremely quick outfit thrown together for one lesson at uni. i always default to black and grey when i’m in a rush and this was no exception. this skirt was featured in my guest post on the beautiful alice’s blog in three different ways, but hadn’t actually got round to wearing it myself. it’s a fairly plain outfit, but i think it looks aaaalright, if i do say so myself.
apparently i’m going to london on the 2nd of november with uni and we’re going to talk to some lovely fashion people. perhaps editors, perhaps not. my lecturer launched grazia so she knows quite a few people in the industry, might try and blag myself a job, or at least an internship. wonder if i can sneak off to any fashion cupboards and steal a new wardrobe for myself? surely they won’t miss anything. nope.
of course the most important part of my day will be shopping. i’m really looking forward to going to places we don’t have in newcastle, such as selfridges (beauty hall, cmonnn), uniqlo, cos, all the designer shops like acne, LN-CC etc etc. oh and not forgetting the vintage stores. my spending ban commences as of the 3rd. sigh.
on another note, here’s a stupid gigantic picture of my current messy nails:

i think i’m getting back into my nail art after going through a phase of plain colours. utopia by models own will forever remain in my top five favourite shades of all time. i recently did a leopard print nail tutorial using it on this blog, if you want to take a quick peek. oh, and i did another guest post picking my top A/W beauty items on this blog.

ps. make sure you’ve entered my giveaway to win 30 beauty products! you can riiiight here.
