today: moss green and disappointments

coat (similar style here) and jeans (here): topshop / jumper: H&M (similar here) / boots: chloe (similar here) / bag: chanel / scarf: vintage and stolen from someone, whups (similar here)
i said i was going to dig out this scarf and well, what do you know. it’s not as practical and face consuming as my more recent acquisitions, but tartan is too good of a pattern to pass up and it wasn’t that cold anyways.
this particular outfit was worn to have my time completely wasted (yet again) by debenhams. as i already loathe the store, or rather their terrible customer service resulting in me refusing to shop there, i was left particularly disappointed when i went to film a video for my fashion module. despite ringing the area manager, store manager and department manager to confirm that we had permission to film and that the girls at the benefit counter would be happy to accommodate us, we arrived at the store to be let down.
the staff claimed they weren’t told we were coming in (despite the fact that we heard the manager telling them) and point blank refused to be filmed. the person at benefit said she had only been there a month and ‘couldn’t do makeup’, despite the fact that we saw her putting makeup on a customer when we came in. one girl said someone from YSL might be able to do it, but she wasn’t at work for another hour and a half (we were told to come in ‘as early as possible’ so were there before 10am).

so, as you can tell we were fairly annoyed and were left standing there like complete idiots while the, quite frankly, rude staff just continued on their conversations with each other.

we left the store having filmed precisely nothing to see if the staff at boots could be more accommodating. to our delight, the girl at the benefit counter was happy to help us, she even said she’d get store permission for us so all we have to do is turn up. and that, lovely readers, is how customer service should be.

edit – we went in and got the video done absolutely no problem in boots. the makeup artist was so accommodating and we got some amazing shots and sound! i’m so pleased with it :)

have you ever had terrible customer service? big companies seem to be the worst at it!
