One thing that doesn’t pop up often on this blog is newly purchased clothes. Sure, I’ll throw them on in an outfit post, but I rarely share what I’ve been buying lately or what items I’m really in love with. So, I’m starting a new ‘New In’ feature where I share what sartorial purchases have made their way into my wardrobe or what I’ve been coveting recently.
My wardrobe has a very white, black and denim theme going on at the moment. Just trying to get the basics right, I guess. They’re hard to come by and you’ll be shocked at how many plain white shirts I’ve bought and returned because they just weren’t right. I have now, however, found the most perfectly shaped not too loose but not too tight, pockets in the right place and not see-through shirt from ASOS. It’s ideal, so I’m glad I’ve ticked that off my wishlist.
The denim in the first picture comes from Topshop after seeing it on another blogger. I was smitten. Ripped in the right places and the perfect wash of denim. The light-weight denim shirt is also a keeper and from New Look, believe it or not. I’ve been searching for a super-soft denim wash shirt for such a long time, to wear alone and to layer under jumpers and this fits the bill perfectly. Same as the Marant-esque top (also from New Look), perfect worn with white jeans as seen in this picture. I’ve always loved monochrome statement tee’s, so the LA one (Mango via ASOS) had to be added to my basket. As for the white dress, everyone’s been loving this one recently, haven’t they? It’s slouchy and sort of minimal, but still remains girly and sweet.
I also picked up that amazing sleeveless trench after seeing the beautiful Jazmine feature it on her blog. It’s such a cool piece, as the lack of sleeves let your outfit come through a bit more. Plus the lightweight material means it’s perfect for Spring/Summer.
Finally, the bra. Now, every girl needs a good black tshirt bra and this one that I was kindly sent from Wonderbra works wonders. As someone who is probably pretty average in the chest department, it boosts everything up and smooths everything out, giving you the perfect shape. I also received the best pair of seamless pants too, which are a godsend if you’re wearing skinny jeans (especially my white ones). Underwear is always something well worth investing in!
