I think I’ve wanted to try Too Faced Cosmetics pretty much since they hit the shelves in Boots all of those years ago (are they even still there?) and, for some reason, I just never got round to doing it – despite swatching their shadows pretty much every time I walked past! Recently this little haul came into my life and it felt like some sort of lifetime dream had been achieved. I’ve tested out every single product over this last week and came to one conclusion pretty damn quick: I love it all. It’s so refreshing to try a new brand and to love every product!
So, starting with the base and it’s the Too Faced Hangover Primer. This baby is supposed to replenish, smooth and brighten your skin for a radiant, dewy complexion – I’d say that description is pretty accurate! It looks more like a moisturiser than your traditional, thicker primer, but it really does give your skin a bit of a boost, I can see myself using it a lot. Over this I’ve been testing the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, a foundation that, at first, I thought wasn’t going to go very far but oh I was so wrong. It has quite a thin formula, but the coverage and blend you can get from it is so damn impressive! I’d say it’s a solid medium coverage and sits nicely on my dry complexion (I’m 100% convinced it’ll work when my skin goes back to its usual combination self, too) and it really blurs pores and evens everything out. I definitely rate it!
Onto eyes and to start I’d like to say the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette is my new bae. It literally has everything you could want for daytime eye looks all the way to nighttime glamour. I’ve been using Fashion all over the lid to create a base, Classic to highlight my inner corner, Push Up to add some shimmer to my lid and a mix of Cashmere Bunny and Sexpresso to define my crease. These shadows are buttery soft and so easy to blend, plus they remain crease free for hours too. To go with this, I’ve been testing the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara to give my lashes some colour and volume. I have very straight but quite long lashes, so I appreciate that this doesn’t add a huge amount of length but a lot of thickness to my lashes. It coats them really well too so, again, I can see myself using this quite a lot!
Finally, it wouldn’t be me without some sort of lip colour, so I eventually got to try out the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks in two shades; Berry and Chihuahua. I am obsessed with the applicators on these, they make applying them literally foolproof! Berry, as you can see below, is a pretty berry/raspberry hue and Chihuahua is the perfect pink-nude that has a bit more oomph than your standard nude. I adore these, 100% need every colour!
So that’s my Too Faced haul – have you tried their products or have any favourites?
