BEAUTY: Hair Favourites #2

Hello! Following on from my previous Hair Favourites post, I’ve picked up a few more bits to help care for my long locks (in the laziest way possible). I’m all about minimising the time spent on it, so look for effective products that work and get my hair the way I want it.

For shampoo, I picked up the famous Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo, which is meant to cleanse whilst adding texture to your hair. I’d agree with that! It makes my hair feel thicker and it definitely has a bit more ‘grit’ to it, without feeling tangled. Afterwards, if I remember, I’ll apply a small amount of Bumble and Bumble Seaweed Conditioner. I was so impressed with the shampoo that I had to pick this up, it’s light yet effective and leaves my hair rather soft and silky but doesn’t weigh it down. It rinses out clean and I haven’t had that ‘over-conditioned’ feeling yet.

If I’m using a treatment, I’ve been opting for Bleach London Reincarnation Mask or Bumble and Bumble Deeep (yes, I have an obsession with their products right now). I know the Bleach London treatment is for coloured or overdyed hair, but I think it works just as well for hair that gets abused with heat or needs a bit of extra care on the ends *neon sign pointing to my hair*. The Bumble treatment has a similar effect and works just as well, but does leave my hair a touch softer. Both are great if your hair needs some TLC or, if like me, you often skip conditioning every day and instead opt for a treatment once or twice a week!

Finally, as I’m a huge fan of leave in treatments and protectors, I picked up the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Spray. As always I saw Kate talk about this (gurl may as well have direct access to my bank account) and as it’s only a few quid, I thought I’d give it a shot. Firstly, it smells lovely and, after you shake it up, the spray is very fine so I think it’s quite hard to overload your hair. It does what it says on the tin (bottle?) and does leave hair feeling very nourished.

So, they’re the next load of haircare I’ve been been using depending on what my hair needs. I do like to change my haircare a lot (and use a detox shampoo regularly) so it doesn’t get the dreaded product build up, making it look dull and lifeless. Texture, softness and shine in the minimal amount of time is the way forward for me!

What haircare have you been loving lately? Any tips for my long hair?
