tomorrow: japanese food

for my friends birthday, we’re going to a japanese and teppan-yaki restaurant called hannahanna. i, for one, am massively excited about this. i’ve never really liked typical things like sushi (though i’ve only tried it once and will give it another go), but their selection of dishes sound so lovely. here’s what i want to try:

ika yaki – grilled calamari with japanese hot sauce

ebi tempura – deep fried king prawns and vegetables in tempura batter with a tangy sauce

niku gyoza – pan fried dumpling with chilli, sesame oil, vinegar and soya sauce dips.

ebi maki – prawn roll

you get your own chef on your table who cooks things the way you want them, which is always good. i’m totally looking forward to it. hopefully it’ll be really nice as i’m going there at the end of the month for another friends birthday. i’ll try and take lots of photos. all i need to do is decide what i’m going to wear…
