BEAUTY: A Few Current Favourites

I’ve been trying to switch things up as much as possible recently, changing my makeup bag around every week and reaching into my skincare drawer more than usual. So, in today’s post I’m chatting about a few favourites that I’ve become rather attached to lately!

Starting with makeup, dark red lips have been my obsession so MAC Lipstick in Dubbonet has been fitting the bill nicely. It’s a pretty, rich red which is really flattering on and adds a bit of edge to a makeup look. A blusher I’ve been reaching for a lot recently is Illamasqua Powder Blush in Hussy, it looks intimidating in the pan, but it’s really pretty on the skin. It’s a bold but very gorgeous pink and one that goes very well with a pink lip!

Following the Illamasqua route, I’ve been wearing the Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation loads in the past few weeks. It has really good coverage and their shade range is amazing, as there’s something for every skin tone. It covers flaws well and it blends easily too, one to look at if you’re after a new one!

Oils have been really benefitting my skin lately, both on my body and face. I’ve become completely obsessed with the Una Brennan Vitamin C Cleansing Oil, as it smells divine (like oranges!) and really cleanses skin leaving it soft and smooth. I’ve been using it twice a day and really massaging it in and it makes such a difference to my complexion!

On my body, I’ve been spritzing on the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil after a shower to help hydrate my skin. I’m terrible at remembering to moisturise, so always opt for a dry oil and you just spray it on and it doesn’t takes ages to sink into skin! Plus it has a gorgeous scent too.

Finally, and I think I mentioned this recently, but I’ve been using the HealGel Face moisturiser non-stop. It’s one of those products that just gets the job done, with no irritating fragrances or ingredients, it just hydrates and makes skin smooth. It’s a wonderful product and I’m nearly at the end of it! Sad times.
