BEAUTY: Five Brands To Try This Year

Whenever I include some products in my beauty posts, I always see ‘oh I’d love to try xx brand’ in the comments. So, I thought I’d do a little round up of brands that I love, and would like to try more from myself, so if you’ve fancied trying any of them now might be the time!

NARS | Without a doubt, NARS is my all time favourite makeup brand. I wrote a bit of a focus post about them before, so won’t go into too much detail but I’m yet to be disappointed with a product. Everything from the packaging to the colour range to the amount of products to actually pick from is well thought out. Stand out products: NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, NARS Satin Lip Pencil, NARS Blush and NARS Laguna Bronzer.

Charlotte Tilbury | A new brand to me but one definitely worth checking out. The CT stuff might be on the more pricey side of things, but her eyeshadows are buttery soft and blend like a dream. I’m waiting for a lipstick to arrive so I can try more of the brand myself, but I’m very impressed so far! Stand out products: Charlotte Tilbury The Dolce Vita Palette and The Vintage Vamp Palette.

Bumble and Bumble | I think B+B are pretty much the only haircare brand I use now, as not a single product has let me down. Their range is extensive and covers everything you’d ever need for the hairstyle you want, plus the packaging is lovely too. Definitely one to try if you’ve been thinking about it! Stand out products: Bumble and Bumble Seaweed Range, Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Oil Range, Bumble and Bumble Dryspun Finish Spray and Bumble and Bumble Brilliantine.

Oskia | A brand I’m looking forward to trying more from in 2015, as I only own the one product. I’ve read a lot about Oskia and their skincare does seem to be wonderful, getting rave reviews from a lot of skincare experts (mostly looking at Hirons here). The cleanser I have melts onto skin, cleansing it and leaving it soft and plump. I adore it so will definitely get some more from the brand soon. Stand out product: Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel.

REN | There’s a few skincare brands where I can pick any product up and know my skin is going to be perfectly ok with it, and REN is one of them. I love every product I’ve tried and not a single one has ever broke me out. There’s something for every skin type or condition and they’re extremely helpful too, which is great if you don’t know where to start. Stand out product: REN Pore Minimising Detox Mask, REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, REN Omega 3 Serum Oil and REN No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm.
