Having a tan is something I’m very new to. Being a former goth (I’m talking velvet and white foundation here), being pale was always my forte, but now I’m branching out into the more bronze side of things. So, as a tanning newbie, I thought I’d share a few products that have worked their way into my current rountine.
Obviously you can’t talk about tanning without mentioning having a fake glow (no sunbeds for me, thank you) and my number one choice has to be Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Instant Tan. This stuff is amazing and ideal for someone new to tanning, as it dries and develops so quickly. You can leave it on for one hour for a light hint of colour, or for three if you want a deeper tan. I always leave it on for three and it’s always streak free, I’ve thrown skinny jeans ontop of it and everything!
As for my face, I’ll apply a light base and sweep on some Benefit Hoola Bronzer (personalised and everything, aaah!). It’s a great soft matte shade, that’s flattering on my skintone and really does lift my face when it’s in need of a bit of colour. Definitely a summer must have!
Afterwards, I’ll pop a bit of MAC Cream Blush in Something Special on my cheeks, as peachy tones always flatter a tan. On my eyes I’ve been reaching for my NARS And God Created the Woman Palette, as I adore all of the shades in it but especially gold tone, as it’s so pretty on the lids. To finish, I’ll apply my favourite red/orange toned lipstick: MAC Lady Danger, which I can’t seem to get out of my makeup bag at the moment!
So being bronze is now my thing and after I type this, I’m going to jump in the shower and throw on some more tan to combat how horribly dreary it is outside today! What you’re favourite tanning product? Any I should check out?
