Even though I’m usually a cool-toned kinda person, gold, copper and bronze tones have been high on my list of favourites right now. There’s something about a smoked out gold makeup with a peach lip or cheek that always looks so nice, whether it’s for daytime or an evening. Or a wash of gold all over the lid for a natural, low-key look. I can’t get enough! In today’s post, I’m chatting about some of the gold makeup favourites that are in my makeup stash.

Starting with my base, even though I know it’s not gold, I love the Cargo Cosmetics Foundation. It comes in a handy pouch, so would be great for travelling plus the lightweight yet buildable coverage is perfect for the warmer months. It’s oil free yet quite hydrating too, so would suit a lot of skin types.

For cheeks, I adore the Bobbi Brown Blush in Nude Peach as it’s the perfect, well, nude-peachy shade. It blends well and looks so natural on the skin! I think it might be a new Hall of Fame entry in the future. Back on the gold track, the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal is such a beautiful champagne-gold shade! It’s so, so flattering as a highlight shade or to bring some radiance to the face. A must-have.

Onto eyes, you can’t go wrong with the Stila in the Light Eyeshadow Palette (on sale for £12.50!). It has a lovely blend of ten shades, from pearl to bronze to the ultimate gold. The pigmentation is amazing too and the shadows are buttery soft, one of my most loved palettes! Two cream bases that tick the gold box are, first of all, the cult MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood because look at it (stunning!) and the new MAC x Charlotte Olympia Cream Colour Base in Golden Age. The latter is so nice when used as a wash of colour over the lid!

Finally, with lips I do love a good peachy tone to match the gold. Tom Ford Shine Lipstick in Sultry is so beautiful, but I won’t talk too much about it as you can find out more here. I also love the new Topshop Everything Stick in Tenacious, which they describe as a warm nude. It can be used on lips or cheeks or eyes, and the consistency is so nice – insanely creamy and comfortable to wear!

What gold makeup shades do you love?
